Question that inspired this post:
Hi, so I currently have a titre de séjours étudiant which will b expired next month. I’ve been here for three years doing a licence. Im pacsed to my French partner. They gave me RDV In the sous préfecture d’Argenteuil in September ( after it expire ) in the list of piece à fournir, they’re asking “ justificatif des conditions d’existence ( relevé bancaires, salaires etc ) but I do not have that cause I was a student. I had missions to do for a week every year where I invigilated exams but that was it. I never worked. Can I use that if my partner to show that I can support myself? I’m afraid that I might get a refusal. I’d appreciate any advice thanks.

"Get a good lawyer coz I heard nowadays it's hard to change from student to VP(vie privée et familiale). Each case is different so best of luck"

Based on your situation and the provided search results, here is a detailed response to help you navigate the renewal of your titre de séjour and the transition to a "vie privée et familiale" status due to your PACS with a French partner.
Key Points to Address:
Justificatif des Conditions d'Existence: This typically includes bank statements, salary slips, and other proof of financial stability. Since you were a student and did not have regular employment, you can use your partner's financial documents to demonstrate your means of support.
Documents to Provide:
Proof of PACS: A copy of your PACS agreement and a certificate of non-dissolution (less than 3 months old).
Proof of Cohabitation: Documents showing that you and your partner have been living together for at least one year. This can include lease agreements, utility bills, joint bank accounts, or any other documents that show a shared address.
Partner’s Financial Documents: Since you do not have sufficient financial documents, you can provide your partner’s bank statements, salary slips, and a letter of support from your partner stating that they will support you financially.
Additional Documents:
Your Passport: Including photocopies of pages with civil status, validity dates, and entry stamps.
Proof of Domicile: Recent utility bills or rental agreements.
Photos: Three recent passport-sized photos.
Medical Certificate: Issued by OFII (if required).
Proof of Integration: Any documents showing your integration into French society, such as membership in associations, participation in community activities, etc.
