Your passport or ID card
Your residence permit/student visa
Confirmation of registration at your French institution (or a dated and signed sworn statement confirming that you're in the process of registering if you don't have the confirmation yet)
Application Process
Create an account on the official CVEC website: https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/
Log in and proceed with the payment
Pay the fee (€103 for the 2024/25 academic year)12
Download your CVEC payment confirmation (attestation d'acquittement)
Payment Methods
You can pay the CVEC fee in three ways:
Online using a bank card (immediate certificate issuance)
Through a third party using a bank card (immediate certificate once payment is made)
In cash at a post office (certificate issued after a two-day delay)
Remember, you must provide the CVEC payment receipt or exemption certificate to your higher education institution to complete your enrollment3. The CVEC is a mandatory annual fee, but you only need to pay it once per academic year, even if you enrol in multiple institutions
