Question that inspired this post:
I did it! I passed the DELF B1! I know this is nothing special for some, but for me, orale comp is super difficult and I wasn't sure I could do it.
A few questions:
Today I received the attestation...I earned a 79.5. They said it would take 6 months to receive the Diploma. I was thinking of submitting the dossier in December anyway, to ensure I have enough time to study.
Will the diploma show my score of 79.5?
Is that a score to be ashamed of?
If the diploma does not have the score that might be another reason to wait until December to submit it (Once I have the diploma)
Answers
"The pass mark is 50/100."
"Congratulations, it's a good score and will show on the back of the certificate. You can just submit the attestation now and add the diploma if they ask for it later."
"Congratulations on passing the DELF B1 exam! Achieving a score of 79.5 is a commendable accomplishment, especially given the challenges you faced with oral comprehension."

Addressing the Questions:
Will the diploma show my score of 79.5? The DELF diploma itself typically does not display the specific score. It simply certifies that you have passed the exam at the B1 level. The attestation you received, which shows your score, serves as the official proof of your results until you receive the diploma
Is a score of 79.5 something to be ashamed of? Not! A score of 79.5 is a solid result. The passing mark for DELF B1 is 50 out of 100, so you have significantly exceeded this threshold. According to various sources, a score above 75 is considered good
Should you wait until December to submit your dossier? Since the diploma takes about 6 months to be issued, it is reasonable to plan to submit your dossier in December. The attestation you have received is valid for official purposes and can be used in place of the diploma until it arrives
Additional Tips:
Keep the attestation safe: Ensure you have multiple copies of your attestation and keep the original in a secure place.
Prepare your dossier thoroughly: Make sure all other documents required for your dossier are complete and accurate to avoid any delays.
Stay proactive: If you have any concerns or need further clarification, don't hesitate to contact the relevant authorities or seek advice from others who have gone through the process.
Your achievement is significant, and you should be proud of your hard work and dedication.
Best of luck with your future endeavours!
